The CC Salon is a monthly event focused on building a community of artists and developers around Creative Commons licenses, standards, and technology. The first event is set for San Francisco with intention for the idea to replicate in other locations internationally. Have look at All Salons around the world ...

The format for each event is to encourage loose networking amongst participants with 2-3 brief presentations from individuals and groups developing interesting projects that relate to the Creative Commons.

The Next CC Salon is October 11, 2006

It's time for another CC Salon SF! If you're in the Bay Area, please join us on Wednesday, September 13, from 6-9pm (don't worry if you're late; there will be stuff happening all night) at Shine, (1337 Mission Street between 9th and 10th Streets). Shine has free wi-fi and a super cool Flickr photo booth. Note: Since Shine is a bar, CC Salon is only open to people who are 21 and older.

This month's line-up:

  • And a performance by Oakland-based hip-hop artist Keldamuzik, who is distributing three of her new tracks under a CC license.
