Platform4 (a non-profit creative hub and community) and Creative Commons Denmark present a special film and hangout night as a part of the global celebration of Creative Commons' 10-year birthday. Join us for a special night with CC-licensed films, birthday cake, merchandise give-away and dj-sets from CC-musician Tone and CC-label Uhrlaut Records.
Creative Commons is a nonprofit organization that enables the sharing and use of creativity and knowledge through free legal tools. Their free, easy-to-use copyright licenses provide a simple, standardized way to give the public permission to share and use your creative work — on conditions of your choice. CC licenses let you easily change your copyright terms from the default of “all rights reserved” to “some rights reserved.”
The KinoPlatform Movie Nights series have been showing CC-licensed movies since the summer of 2012, and the crew behind the events is naturally happy to be able to add festivities to the global celebration of CC's 10-year anniversary. This will take the shape of movie screenings - both short films and a screening of the feature length documentary RIP! The Remix Manifesto - as well as with free cake, free Creative Commons birthday t-shirt give away (on a first come, first served-basis) and dj-sets by CC-musician Tone and CC-record label Uhrlaut Records.
19.00 - Introduction by the KinoPlatform crew - and a couple of short film tutorials to explain what Creative Commons is.
19.15 - Screening: Short films (all licensed under CC)< /br>
"Words and Thoughts in RGB" (2005-2012) (6 minutes)
"Elephants Dream" (11 minutes)
"Aisha's Song" (9 minutes)
"Tears of Steel" (2012) (12 minutes)
20.00 - Free birthday cake for everybody! + short talk by Creative Commons Denmark
20.15 - Screening:

22.00-23.00 - DJ's Tone & Uhrlaut Records on the wheels of steel
Tone and Uhrlaut Records, who are devoted users of the Creative Commons licenses for releasing electronic music across the world, will be spinning tunes and dropping lazy beats to set the mood for a cozy time in the Platform4 café.
