We are creating an open textbook for various types of Project Management certifications (PMI, Prince2, Scrum, ITIL, and others).
The next phase consists of comparison of the various certification requirements and relative importance.
Detail the tangible project output (e.g., paper, blog post, written materials, video/film, etc.; this would be in addition to the final written report that successful grant recipients will be expected to deliver to CC at the conclusion of the project).

Describe the community you are targeting. How would the project benefit the community?
All aspiring project managers, in any discipline, industry or geographical location, who wish to get certified. We especially want to reach those who cannot afford the high cost of certification material.br />
We are all project and program managers with many years of experience across a wide array of industries. We, the Project Management Open Resources are thirty seven seasoned professionals, with a passion for paying forward our learning and experiences to help make available the PMCOT - certification materials. Many of us are certified project managers and some of us have taught this materials. Jacky Hood is the director of the College Open Text Book Program that supports 200 colleges.
How will you measure and evaluate your project’s impact - on your main participants? Other contributors? On the larger community?
The PMOR (Project Management Open Resources) thirty seven participants will become more aware of the different certification requirements and will help build a better bridge with other project management professionals and industries. This will help build bridges between certifying organizations, globally and between communities and professionals from different industries. The success will be measured by endorsement from the certifying organizations acknowledging our unifying efforts.
How many participants do you expect to be involved in your project? How will you seek and sustain their involvement?
Twenty Core creators, Thirty contributors external to PMOR, Three or more certifying bodies and at least one thousand project managers worldwide. We will seek sustained involvement through online professional networks and viral marketing. We will sustain their involvement through excellent online content.
Describe how your project will benefit Creative Commons' mission to increase the amount of creativity (cultural, educational, and scientific content) in "the commons".
Since our outreach is global and across industries, we expect a rich cultural diversity and the creativity that flows from it.
Describe what technologies and tools your project will use. What kinds of technical skills and expertise do you bring to the project? What are your technical needs?
Tools used include a customized online social networking tool for collaborative communication and content creation. We also use a web conferencing tool for virtual (live) meetings. Many of our members are engineers and/or computer scientists. We do not have specific technical needs in this phase of the project.
What challenges do you expect to face, and how do you plan to overcome them?
Every one on the project is a busy professional. Sustaining adequate amount of time and coordinated effort from the group may be a challenge. We plan to overcome this by offering professional growth prospects and inter group mentoring
How do you plan to sustain your project after the Creative Commons funding has ended? Detail specific plans. How do you plan to raise revenue to continue your efforts in the future?
We are investigating various business models, including very-high-volume, very-low -price (fortune at the bottom of the pyramid) as well as traditional models like advertisements, donations,subscriptions and grants.
How can this project be scalable, or have a scalable impact?
This model is highly scalable and can be applied to many other professional fields by replicating our communication and business model.
What resources and support do you expect Creative Commons to provide to your project to ensure its success (if any)?

Describe how your organization currently communicates with its community members and network partners. (100 words)
Through in-network messaging within the online social network and posting on other project management communication forums as well as other online forums totaling more than 10,000 people.
