"Open art and technology" is a conversation on the state of artistic creation at the time of web 2.0 and in the spirit of 'openness'. It will feature a keynote speech of Joi Ito, Ceo of Creative Commons, and a lecture-artistic performance by Jon Phillips. Ito and Phillips will highlight how people can use open licenses to create and improve artwork, software, education and media. Q&A and debate with the students of Fine Art Faculty and Syrian artists will follow.
When: Thursday, November 17, 11am
Where: University of Damascus, Syria.
Cost: Free.
