how much content is needed for inclusion and how to promote a CC site??

I started an open soapmaking wiki in which all content is Creative Commons licensed. So far I've had difficulty (and resistance) promoting it among the soapmaking community through Yahoo! groups. I went about promoting it the wrong way, but there's no help from google or other search engines, even when you try really hard to find a free soapmaking content site. Try as you might, it just doesn't have the 'pagerank' to be useful. I think I might just continue to put content into it myself, and if it doesn't take off, I'll turn what I have at that point into a book and sell it. But this of course defeats the purpose of CC licensed info. If anyone can help, please help me. People's response to me so far is that I have something to gain from hosting and trying to promote the site. I'm not even running ads. I work as a web developer. This is supposed to be a build it and they will come type of thing. I have one other moderator. There seems to be a trust disconnect. Maybe there's just not enough information there yet. Please reply to mchrisneglia . at . yahoo.com. or find me here

Removed this from the article. Mike Linksvayer 21:00, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

I would like to ad a new section for this but I don't know how..

Website URLs?

For any of the websites in the lists that have specific Creative Commons webpages or search forms, I think that the URL should be for that page, instead of the main page for the website. For example, for Flickr, the URL should be http://flickr.com/creativecommons/. BlankVerse 06:30, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

'education' and 'geodata' are not content formats

Well, at least education isn't.

I removed the education and geodata queries -- they weren't working properly as those are not allowable values of Property:Format

I suspect we should have another property that education would be the value of (audience?).

We may want to add geodata as a format, but I'm not sure -- there are lots of other kinds of data, and licensing around any of them is controversial. Mike Linksvayer 03:30, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
