Policy does not mention educational materials or courseware.

It does, however, distinguish between scholarly / traditional works (scholarly books, articles and other publications, artistic, literary, film, tape, and musical works excluding computer programs or computer software or databases that are neither accessory to nor an electronic expression of a scholarly text) and technical works. The university gives author ownership over all scholarly works, but retains ownership in all non-scholarly works created with university resources.
