Cooperation with other LatAm countries is essential and should be regarded as a priority. Sadly, for broader reasons Brazil ends up being rather isolated from other LatAm countries, which is bad in every possible sense. CC is a very important possibility for integration, since the challenges in the region have similarities, as well as social and political contexts. Why is Creative Commons important for the jurisdiction?
Creative Commons has become not only a social practice but a public policy in Brazil. Since the beginning of the Creative Commons project in Brazil in 2003, the CC-Brazil group has promoted adoption of licenses, as well as their importance for open government and other policy initiatives. Creative Commons has become a household name in Brazil, with a strong presence in the Brazilian public sphere.
