Creative Commons is a nonprofit organization that enables the sharing and use of creativity and knowledge through free legal tools. Their free, easy-to-use copyright licenses provide a simple, standardized way to give the public permission to share and use your creative work — on conditions of your choice. CC licenses let you easily change your copyright terms from the default of “all rights reserved” to “some rights reserved.”
In Platform4 as group of volunteers have been running the weekly KinoPlatform Movie Nights series, where CC-licensed movies have been shown to the public since the summer of 2012. The crew behind the events is naturally happy to be able to add festivities to the global celebration of CC's 10-year anniversary, and will do so with CC birthday cake, films and merchandise give-away.
Exact program and details to be disclosed soon.
Free admission (with free cake).
