Platform4 (a non-profit creative hub and community) and Creative Commons Denmark present a special film and hangout night as a part of the global celebration of Creative Commons' 10-year birthday. Join us for a special night with CC-licensed films, birthday cake, merchandise give-away and dj-sets from CC-musician Tone and CC-label Uhrlaut Records.

Creative Commons is a nonprofit organization that enables the sharing and use of creativity and knowledge through free legal tools. Their free, easy-to-use copyright licenses provide a simple, standardized way to give the public permission to share and use your creative work — on conditions of your choice. CC licenses let you easily change your copyright terms from the default of “all rights reserved” to “some rights reserved.”

The KinoPlatform Movie Nights series have been showing CC-licensed movies since the summer of 2012, and the crew behind the events is naturally happy to be able to add festivities to the global celebration of CC's 10-year anniversary. This will take the shape of movie screenings - both short films and a screening of the feature length documentary RIP! The Remix Manifesto - as well as with free cake, free Creative Commons birthday t-shirt give away (on a first come, first served-basis) and dj-sets by CC-musician Tone and CC-record label Uhrlaut Records.

About KinoPlatform

KinoPlatform is a great opportunity to enjoy all the cinema pleasures at Platform4 movie evenings initiated by a group of volunteers. Every second Thursday 20:00 we will show creative commons license movies of the wide range of styles and genres: animation, documentaries, short movies, drama, musical etc. At “KinoPlatform” you will not only have an opportunity to experience great movie events and meet new people, but also to share the opinions, review and discuss shown films. The café will be open during the events where you can buy beverages and snacks for a reasonable price. Bring your friend, colleague, grandmother or your pet and be a part of the experience that is free of charge!
