Description: A proposed Senate bill that makes mention of OER in the context of State agency educational data system interoperability as well as using OER to improve the overall efficiency and productivity of education:

"(6) An assurance that the State educational agency will consider making content widely available through open educational resources when making purchasing decisions with funds received under this subpart." and

"(4) Improving the efficiency and productivity of education, such as—

(A) extending the reach of high-quality materials, tools, curriculum, instruction, or teachers through such means as open educational resources or blended learning;"
