Description: This bill would authorize the BOG to select a pilot grant recipient that could develop a model for open course content that is pedagogically sound and in compliance with IDEA; develop coursework in basic English skills, math, and English as a second language that meet the requirements of the Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum; develop a community college professional development curriculum that would introduce and instruct faculty and staff to the concept, creation, and implementation of open resource education; and create an OER information repository to serve as the single source of information about the use of OER in community college instruction.
