=== What is the Organization type? ===

Organization type refers to the type of the overarching organization--the organization that created or administers the site. The organization type varies; sometimes it is clearly a university, non-profit or governmental organization. Other times, the creator doesn't appear to be an organization; in these cases, the organization type refers to what the site is or does as a whole: i.e. blog, electronic archive, news.

If your organization falls under one or more of these types, please use them. Although you don't have to limit yourself to this list, we would like to avoid repeats. For example, governmental organization means the same thing as "government organization"--both of which can just be labeled "government".
