The team at the Intellectual Property Institute has translated the text of the licenses into Slovenian, while others were not involved in translation of the legal text. They took care of the texts of the websites that accompany the licenses. One of the issues the translation team faced was the translation of the word “Affirmer” as the person waiving his or her rights in relation to CC0. Since the Slovenian language does not have a suitable literal translation, the term was translated to “Izjavitelj” meaning a person giving a statement (“Statement of Purpose”).

Translation process

The team at the Intellectual Property Institute has translated the text of the licenses into Slovenian, while others were not involved in translation of the legal text. They took care of the texts of the websites that accompany the licenses. One of the issues the translation team faced was the translation of the word “Affirmer” as the person waiving his or her rights in relation to CC0. Since the Slovenian language does not have a suitable literal translation, the term was translated to “Izjavitelj” meaning a person giving a statement (“Statement of Purpose”).
