As mentioned in the CC blog, ThinkFree, an online office suite, allows users to pull images directly from the Flickr Creative Commons licensed pool for use in their documents.

Your challenge is to develop a plug-in for OpenOffice.org that enables similar functionality. Key pieces of functionality include:

  • ability to search photos by tags
  • filter search results by license attributes
  • insert the image into the document along with attribution information
