Which new possibilities does the Internet and new licensing schemes give Danish authors and publishers? With the advancement of technology and its new social dimensions online, sharing of knowledge is increasing in unforeseen magnitudes. There is a heated discussion going on about how this affects creative industries such as literature and thereby authors and publishers. Many find it hard to grasp the consequences of the digitization of culture that is taking place. Creative Commons Denmark puts a focus on these themes in a new series of events called Some Rights Reserved Sessions.

At this first event in the series, Danish Authors' Society and Creative Commons Denmark puts a focus on these changes and the possibilities which the internet gives creators. It is the goal to inform about the strengths and weaknesses of open licensing and to explain what it entails as well as starting a broad and constructive debate among authors, publishers and others interested in the future we are facing.

The event is part of the Some Rights Reserved for Nordic Artists project which is initiated by The Society For Free Culture and Software in Sweden under the University of Gothenburg and supported by Nordic Culture Fund.
