Creative Commons was born December 2002, and to celebrate we're inviting the CC Community worldwide to join the party!

Creative Commons Birthday Party in Chennai

Creative Commons is turning 6, and Chennai is joining the worldwide celebration! We're having a celebration for all of the local friends, users, developers, artists and soon-to-be friends of Creative Commons. It's an opportunity to link the Open Culture, Free Speech, and Intentional Communities movements.

When: Friday, December 12th, 2008.

Where: Free Culture House, C/o F5ive Technologies, C-2, Raj Paris Apts, 82, Kamaraj Street, Virugambakkam, Chennai - 600092

It will be at the newly launched co-working space. There'll be collaborative painting, Work@Jelly, Wikipedia Academy, Music remixing and anything interesting you can come up with. Towards the end, we'll even head out to a bar to liven up the spirits.

Plan to meet a bunch of interesting folks and talk about lots of interesting things. CC stickers will probably be available for those interesting folks who attend!

We're working on programming the event, having speakers. finding music, etc. Feel free to volunteer. Everyone pitches in to help.

Donations will be welcome at the door, but please RSVP (link coming shortly) so we know you're coming.

We hope you'll join us for a relaxing evening reception celebrating free culture, free speech, and the future of Creative Commons! Everyone is welcome, but space is limited - so bring friends and arrive early!
