Open Sesame BarCamp
The first ever Arab BarCamp will be a great event and is geared toward anyone with an IT background, people interested in media and new media, or anyone involved with tech startups or Lebanese incubators. There will be a panel about the use of CC licenses in media, including the case study of Al Jazeera's CC repository. Other topics include "Arabising" the web, aimed at discussing the lack of web content in Arabic and how to fill this gap. The agenda is still open to suggestions. Open to the public; on site registration is $20.
