Welcome to the Content Directories

The following is a list of organizations and projects powered with Creative Commons licenses. Since Creative Commons does not have maintain a database of content and does not store content, we're like for CC-community members to help build a directory of projects to help spread the word about CC--hence the CC Content Directories wiki! Please help us fill it out!

What is an appropriate entry for Content Directories?

Not certain that something should be added to this list? Add it to Talk:Content Curators. For short lists of notable works, see books and film.

How to add an entry to Content Directories

These tables pull information from other articles in the wiki which have been created with semantic annotations.

Use the FORM to easily become a content curator or create a new page using the Template:ContentDirectory. Visual How-To here.

Semantic markup will make it easier for everyone to access and use CC-licensed media. As a part of the LiveContent project, we aim to be able to elicit CC-content providers to add feeds and API documentation for accessing CC media from their respective site. This metadata is crucial in helping automate the process so we can highlight cool open content for future projects!
