MyGardenPlans.com is a gardening community where people share garden plans. Users share garden plans by uploading pictures of their landscapes. Each plan can also include a plant list so that visitors know what's growing, making it easier to recreate their own gardens.
Plant Database
The website also includes a wiki-style plant database. User can edit information specific to each plant, such as:
- scientific name
- common names
- plant type, for example perennial, annual, or shrub
- minimum and maximum exposure
- minimum and maximum USDA hardiness zone
- minimum and maximum water use
- growth rate
- height
- width
Using this information, visitors can search for plants well suited for their climate.
