MozCC is no longer under active development. For equivalent functionality in recent Firefox releases, Chrome, and Opera, try OpenAttribute.
MozCC is an extension for Mozilla-based applications, including Mozilla Firefox and Songbird, which provides a convenient way to examine metadata -- including Creative Commons licenses -- embedded in web pages. It’s at least twice as good as View Source!
When embedded metadata is detected, MozCC stores it and looks for license information pertaining to the current web page. If license information is found, MozCC places license icons on the status bar (for web browsers) or in the playlist (for Songbird).
