In doing a copy edit, I found the following things that seemed strange to me:
* The sequence (\'\'Id\'\') appeared in several places.
* A sequencd <q>\u201d</q> appears in several places. (where <q>d</q> is some digit.)
Could someone explain, please, what these are supposed to mean?

Further, in previewing this I find that <q>xxx</q> seems not to work!!
