La comunidad global de Creative Commons se reunirá este año en Buenos Aires para nuestra Cumbre Mundial bi-anual. El evento, que se desarrollará durante tres días, del 21 al 24 de agosto, tendrá lugar en el Centro Cultural San Martín y será co-organizado por nuestros afiliados locales de Creative Commons, Fundación Vía Libre y Wikimedia Argentina. Esta es la primera vez que se realizará la conferencia en un país hispanoparlante, y la segunda vez que se desarrollará en América Latina.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
El evento reunirá a los afiliados de Creative Commons de todo el mundo con los miembros del directorio de Creative Commons, su personal, los representantes locales y otros interesados ​​en el presente y futuro de los bienes comunes. Los asistentes discutirán estrategias para fortalecer Creative Commons y su comunidad en todo el mundo, aprender sobre los últimos acontecimientos en el movimiento de los bienes comunes en todo el mundo, y mostrar los proyectos locales e internacionales que utilizan las licencias Creative Commons. El programa oficial de la Cumbre será a partir del Jueves 21 de agosto, 11.00 hs., hasta las 16:00 hs. del día sábado 24 de Agosto. Se llevará a cabo un evento en la noche de apertura, el miércoles 21 de agosto, y durante los días 20 y 21 de agosto se llevarán a cabo eventos paralelos y mini-conferencias. Se organizarán eventos sociales opciones para el domingo 25 de agosto, para aquellos asistentes interesados en pasar algún tiempo viendo Buenos Aires.&lt;br /&gt;

Come and join Creative Commons in Buenos Aires from 21-24 August, for our Global Summit 2013.&lt;br /&gt;

== Overview ==&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The global community of Creative Commons will gather this year in Buenos Aires for our bi-annual Global Summit. The event, which will run for three days from 21 to 24 August, will be held at the [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centro_Cultural_General_San_Mart%C3%ADn Centro Cultural General San Martín] and will be co-hosted by our local Creative Commons affiliates, [http://www.vialibre.org.ar/ Fundación Vía Libre] and [http://www.wikimedia.org.ar/ Wikimedia Argentina]. This is the first time the conference will be held in a Spanish-speaking country, and the second time in Latin America.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The event will bring together Creative Commons affiliates from the around the world with the CC board, its staff, key stakeholders, local representatives and others interested in the present and future of the commons. Attendees will discuss strategies to strengthen Creative Commons and its worldwide community; learn about the latest developments in the commons movement worldwide; and showcase local and international projects that use Creative Commons licenses. Topics covered will include the implementation of open policies in areas such as government, education, culture, business, science, data and more, as well as related topics such as free software, license development, collecting societies and copyright advocacy. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The event is free for all attendees, although registration is required, and will include a Spanish-language stream to highlight the expertise of the local community, to learn about their interests, concerns and perspectives for future work. &lt;br /&gt;

The formal Summit program runs from 09:00 Thursday 22 August to 16:00 Saturday 24 August. An optional opening night event will be held prior to the conference on the evening of Wednesday 21 August, and mini-conferences around related topics will also be held during the day on 21 August. The global community of Creative Commons will gather this year in Buenos Aires for our bi-annual Global Summit. The event, which will run for three days from 21 to 24 August, will be held at the [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centro_Cultural_General_San_Mart%C3%ADn Centro Cultural General San Martín] and will be co-hosted by our local Creative Commons affiliates, [http://www.vialibre.org.ar/ Fundación Vía Libre] and [http://www.wikimedia.org.ar/ Wikimedia Argentina]. This is the first time the conference will be held in a Spanish-speaking country, and the second time in Latin America.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The event will bring together Creative Commons affiliates from the around the world with the CC board, its staff, key stakeholders, local representatives and others interested in the present and future of the commons. Attendees will discuss strategies to strengthen Creative Commons and its worldwide community; learn about the latest developments in the commons movement worldwide; and showcase local and international projects that use Creative Commons licenses. Topics covered will include the implementation of open policies in areas such as government, education, culture, business, science, data and more, as well as related topics such as free software, license development, collecting societies and copyright advocacy. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The event is free for all attendees, although registration is required, and will include a Spanish-language stream to highlight the expertise of the local community, to learn about their interests, concerns and perspectives for future work. &lt;br /&gt;

The global community of Creative Commons will gather this year in Buenos Aires for our bi-annual Global Summit. The event, which will run for three days from 21 to 24 August, will be held at the [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centro_Cultural_General_San_Mart%C3%ADn Centro Cultural General San Martín] and will be co-hosted by our local Creative Commons affiliates, [http://www.vialibre.org.ar/ Fundación Vía Libre] and [http://www.wikimedia.org.ar/ Wikimedia Argentina]. This is the first time the conference will be held in a Spanish-speaking country, and the second time in Latin America.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The event will bring together Creative Commons affiliates from the around the world with the CC board, its staff, key stakeholders, local representatives and others interested in the present and future of the commons. Attendees will discuss strategies to strengthen Creative Commons and its worldwide community; learn about the latest developments in the commons movement worldwide; and showcase local and international projects that use Creative Commons licenses. Topics covered will include the implementation of open policies in areas such as government, education, culture, business, science, data and more, as well as related topics such as free software, license development, collecting societies and copyright advocacy. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The event is free for all attendees, although registration is required, and will include a Spanish-language stream to highlight the expertise of the local community, to learn about their interests, concerns and perspectives for future work. &lt;br /&gt;

== Overview ==&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The global community of Creative Commons will gather this year in Buenos Aires for our bi-annual Global Summit. The event, which will run for three days from 21 to 24 August, will be held at the [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centro_Cultural_General_San_Mart%C3%ADn Centro Cultural General San Martín] and will be co-hosted by our local Creative Commons affiliates, [http://www.vialibre.org.ar/ Fundación Vía Libre] and [http://www.wikimedia.org.ar/ Wikimedia Argentina]. This is the first time the conference will be held in a Spanish-speaking country, and the second time in Latin America.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The event will bring together Creative Commons affiliates from the around the world with the CC board, its staff, key stakeholders, local representatives and others interested in the present and future of the commons. Attendees will discuss strategies to strengthen Creative Commons and its worldwide community; learn about the latest developments in the commons movement worldwide; and showcase local and international projects that use Creative Commons licenses. Topics covered will include the implementation of open policies in areas such as government, education, culture, business, science, data and more, as well as related topics such as free software, license development, collecting societies and copyright advocacy. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The event is free for all attendees, although registration is required, and will include a Spanish-language stream to highlight the expertise of the local community, to learn about their interests, concerns and perspectives for future work. &lt;br /&gt;
