In a desperate attempt to halt or at least slow down the flow of spam we've been getting, I did add .com (and I've now added all the GTLDs) to the blacklist (see my message to Mike for more details), but it would have been better to leave the extension enabled and just remove the .com entries from [[MediaWiki:Spam-blacklist]].
