|description=„Another free music magazine“ could be a online platform to present and discuss CC music based of the acceptance of the website in the current form. Beside the possibility for CC-weblabels to promote their new releases a group of editorials (cc-music experts from the scene world wide) writes reviews and recommendations. The magazine is complete free of advertisement an respects the privacy of the users. Aim of the magazine is to support the diversity of small netlabels with their competences in genres besides the musical mainstream.
|output=The project is website with texts about free CC music releases worldwide and a catalog that allows an overview about CC weblabels.
|community=The magazine is a platform where people with a broadband interest in music can find releases from small, d.i.y. weblabels releasing CC music. Because of the work of the group of editorials the visitor has a guide through the endless list of new CC releases. For the weblabels the project offers the free possibility to catch the attention of the listeners without using commercial services like FaceBook or MySpace. The magazine is not a portal for music but a platform for labels releasing CC music.
|community relationship=Generally I see the topic from different perspectives. As a producer of electronic music I know the advantages of releasing CC music. As a co-founder of the weblabels www.phonocake.org and www.piepmatz-records.de I know how important it is to announce new releases at platforms for free music. As a music lover and listener and also because of my work as CC DJ and co-producer of a CC music radio show since 2003 I know how important are recommendations from insiders can be to avoid getting lost in the huge amount of free CC releases. I also organized some concerts for CC musicians since 2006. For some years now I run also a hand edited weblabellist (www.clongclongmoo.org/labels).
|measurement=The project makes the diversity of the netlabelscene visible and shows the benefits of copy left music.
|participants=At the start the group of editors should not be more then 10 people. The magazine is not planed as another social platform where everybody can write and comment everything. The quality should count and not quantity.
|impact=To present high quality CC license works hand picked by “experts” it's easier to find exciting music . The magazine works at the often criticized problem of free culture – too much low quality because of lack of regulation. The visitors of the current website clongclongmoo.org is increasing over the years and the reactions via mail are showing me how important it is to offer a filter function in a confusing netlabelworld. The magazine supports diversity of sounds and sytles but bundles power of small projects.
|tech needs=The project needs a very professional highly customized website. Only a standard CMS is not enough. The editors should have unique tools and categories to label the music. One aim is to connect a list of netlabels with the current releases. So - a very good programmer (or a team) is needed. My knowledge about programming ends at html an CSS.
|challenges=The programmer of the system behind the magazine should be able to feel the importance of the project. I learned that is is hard to find a good technician and somebody who is interested in arts an music and works for nothing. Solution? The Catalyst Grants Program (in the case of money).
|sustainability=I hope that when the system is configured once the group of altruistic editors keeps the system alive. The work of an programmer is only needed to start the whole process.
|scalability=The group of editor can grow and new editorial categories can be included (articles about concerts from cc bands, reviews to the visual artworks, etc.).
|resource needs=Some help in License details and a bit publicity for the search of an programmer.
|communication=The current projects are quite good accepted in the netaudioworld. So there are a lot of mails to answer. More and more I also organize concert of CC acts – so I meet more an more “real” people. Beside that I do interviews (at both sides of the microphone) and take part at conferences as often I can.
