Throughout my life I have heard profound men, in writing, sermon, lecture and discussion criticize the Bible, its truth and authenticity, its authority. They have claimed supposed conflicts in scripture, claimed that things there could not be true. They have tried to denigrate scripture by elevating supposed human failings of one of the writers (like Paul) and how those failings caused scripture to be unreliable. They have claimed intellectual superiority and understanding that result in such statements as, “I believe about 70 to 80% of the Bible is true.”
My observations are that the Bible stands as true and utterly reliable. One may not understand it all, but that is no justification for claiming the Bible to be in error.
The skeptical critics are unable to reliably refute or disprove any part of the Bible. All the critics of the Bible have never offered an alternative or solution to supposed conflict or replacement to the Bible or any small part of the Bible that has any value whatsoever. All their attacks seem intended to tear it down, to reduce or remove its authority. They never offer anything as a positive alternative. I conclude their attacks on the Bible are false, unreliable, and deadly.
