License Usage

I first began to really pay attention to cc licenses after Jamendo contacted me by email and asked if I was interested in sharing some of my music. Several hundred uploads later, I decided to universally release my music collection under the Attribution 3.0 Unported license. The community of musicians, listeners and executives has been generally very positive; yet I have had to learn from those better versed in the legal ramifications of licensing - for example, at the Jamendo forums.

Motivations

I first encountered cc licenses when a friend introduced me to flickr; since then, I have found much to learn and many friendly cc-oriented communities, not the least of which being opsound.org. I enjoy many new human/artistic connections that I might never have otherwise.
